My name is Michael Shevlin and I have been a Realtor in Lee County, Florida
for the last 27 years with a special focus in the Matlacha, Pine Island and
Cape Coral areas. I owned Islands Realty, Inc. from 1985 to April 2000 when
I sold my business to Century 21 Sunbelt. I have just been awarded the #1 Realtor
in the State of Florida out of all Century 21 agents and # 21 in the entire
nation. I have achieved this through hard work, aggressive advertising in the
Pine Island Eagle, Fort Myers News Press and many other Real Estate publications
and love of the work.
I have lived on Pine Island for the last 25 years with my beautiful wife Joan, who together, have raised 3 children; Tim, Julie, and Becca on Pine Island. I have been very active in the community in many different forums. Some of my activities include, but are not limited to:, two-time Pine Island Kiwanis president, Greater Pine Island Water Association Board of Directors, Greater Pine Island Little League, Museum of the Island (I am one of the founders), Lee County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Representative from Pine Island, member of Greater Pine Island Civic Association, and a member of Greater Pine Island Chamber of Commerce.

 Carlyn Herring
I am Carlyn Herring, Mike and I work together as a team serving Pine Island, Matlacha and Cape Coral. Though I am a native Texan from Dallas, I have been on Pine Island for more than 25 years. My husband Ralph and I raised two children, Jake and Cassie, on Pine Island and we have an older daughter, Tamara and grandson, Bryce.
I have a Business degree from Auburn University and many years of local work experience including banking, retail, and managing a family business. For more than a decade I was involved in Lee County education as a substitute teacher and school office data entry clerk and secretary. I have been very active in this community for many years, holding office in the Greater Pine Island Civic Association, Little League, Greater Pine island Water Association, Fireman's Auxiliary, etc.. I care very much about this community, and am proud that my Pine Island neighbors and friends recognize me as one to call on for volunteering my time to make this a better place to live.
I have been with Mike since September 2001, I am enjoying learning the Real Estate business and earned my Real Estate Agent's license in September 2002. We have a team dynamics that I believe you will see features an initiative, a devotion to customer satisfaction, and a depth of knowledge that cannot be found anywhere else in this area.
